3 Myths about Tai Chi – Busted!
Like many, my knowledge of Tai Chi is limited to the idea that it’s a slow sport for elderly people, usually men who like to get up early and practice in parks. You’ve seen them around Shanghai too right? Maybe even back home in your country? A recent Tai Chi workshop at Mandarin Inn surprised […]
3 Expat Hacks: Making the Most of Your Time in Shanghai
I’ve met so many expats over the years with all different types of stories; English teachers, corporate expats or partners who joined their loved ones, to name a few. Having lived overseas myself (St Louis, Illinois), I recall being ever so busy and not really putting myself out there to enrich my experience the way […]
How to move to China in 90 days – Part 1 (and not necessarily teach English)
For the past couple of years I’ve been wanting to see Asia and I knew it needed to be more than a 2 or 3 week vacation. One day I looked around and decided that nothing was keeping me in Canada but some cute family dogs (sorry family, I guess there’s you too.) So I booked a flight and let my 2 connections in China know that I was on my way!
