MI Event Review | Online Open Class: I can talk about sports

11月17日晚,Mandarin Inn主办了一场以“谈论运动”为主题的线上公开课活动,本次课程主讲人是具有丰富汉语教学经验的Sophia老师。Sophia老师为前来听课的各位外国同学详细讲解了汉语中不同运动的名称以及描述个人喜好和运动计划的方法,并带领大家作了相应的练习活动。

On the evening of October 20th, Mandarin Inn hosted an online open class with the theme of “I can talk about sports”. The speaker of this class was Sophia, a teacher with rich experience in teaching Chinese. Teacher Sophia explained in detail the names of different sports in Chinese and how to describe personal preferences and sports plans for foreign students who came to the lecture, and led everyone to do corresponding exercises.

来参加本次公开课的同学有Oleh, 尾山邦彦等等。大家在活动中积极地与Sophia老师互动,学习基本的用词、短语和句型表达,交流讨论如何去形容不同的运动并与自己的日常生活联系起来

Oleh, Oyama Kunihikoh and other students joined the online open class. In the class, Everyone actively interacted and discussed with Teacher Sophia during the activity, learning basic words, phrases and sentences, discussing how to describe different sports and relate them to their daily life.

首先,Sophia老师向大家提问,询问了各位学员最喜欢的运动是什么,通常和谁一起做运动,在哪里做运动等等。并陈列了一些常见运动的读音、意思和用法,例如“篮球”“网球”“羽毛球”“乒乓球”“太极拳”“排球”以及与相搭配的动词“打”

Firstly, Teacher Sophia asked everyone questions about what sports they like most, who they usually do sports with, where they do sports, etc. She also displays the pronunciation, meaning and usage of some common sports, such as “basketball”, “tennis”, “badminton”, “table tennis”, “tai chi”, “volleyball” and the verb “to play”.

在轻松的讨论氛围下,大家很快就掌握了这些词汇并能与日常生活联系起来使用和交流。此外,Sophia还详细解释了动词“打”的意思以及上述词汇与其搭配的原因,并且以“打”字为切入点引导学生进行头脑风暴,想想在中文中还有哪些运动可以用“打”作动词

In a relaxing discussion atmosphere, everyone quickly mastered these vocabulary and can use them to talk about their daily life. In addition, Sophia explained in detail the meaning of the verb “打” and the reason why the above-mentioned words are matched with it, and used the word “打” as an entry point to guide students to brainstorm and think about other sports that can use “打” as a verbin Chinese.

学习了与球类有关的常见词汇后,Sophia老师展示了动词使用不规则的运动相关词汇,并带领大家一起理解和互动,同时在大家熟悉后逐步引入话题讨论,例如:“什么运动在你的国家最流行?”,从而使学生主动使用刚刚学过的词汇,并以提问的形式引导学生对回答进行补充和延伸。

After learning common vocabulary related to ball games, Teacher Sophia showed sports-related vocabulary with irregular verbs, and led everyone to understand and discuss together. At the same time, after everyone was familiar with it, she gradually introduced topics for discussion, for example: “What is the most popular sport in your country?“, so that students can actively use the vocabulary they just learned, and extend their answers in the guidance of questions.

在学习词汇后,Sophia老师引入了生活领域中的实用对话,例如“她不喜欢打网球,她觉得太累了。”“我妈妈喜欢打太极拳。”等常用句式。并带领大家一起朗读,以此为基础进行扩展和讨论,以多种多样的方式展开讨论和互动。

After learning the relevant vocabularies, Teacher Sophia introduced some common conversations in daily, such as “She doesn’t like playing tennis, she feels too tired.” “My mother likes to play Tai Chi.” and other common sentence patterns. And led everyone to read together, expand and discuss on this basis, and discussions and interactions were started in various ways.

在学习完动词词汇后,Teacher Sophia展示了常用的表示频次的词,并通过示范和提问的方式引导大家用这些词介绍自己的运动习惯运动计划


After learning the vocabulary of verbs, Teacher Sophia showed the commonly used words for frequency, and guided everyone to use these words to introduce their exercise habits and exercise plans through demonstration and questioning.

在课程的最后,Sophia老师讲授了“有点儿……就……“的常用句型,并提供具体情景“朋友邀请你去运动,你如拒绝?”带领学生练习,大家纷纷积极互动,造出了很棒的句子,例如:“我有点儿累,就不去了。”

At the end of the course, Teacher Sophia taught the common sentence pattern “a little…just…” and provided a specific scenario “A friend invites you to do sports, how do you refuse?” to lead students to practice, everyone actively interacted and created great sentences, such as: “I’m a little tired, so I won’t go.”


此外,Sophia老师带领听课的同学们一起进行了复习巩固。此外,在Q&A环节中,Sophia老师耐心解答了大家汉语学习的相关问题,鼓励大家保持对汉语的兴趣。

Teacher Sophia also led the students to review all the newly learned Chinese expressions together. Besides, in the Q&A session, Teacher Sophia patiently answered questions about Chinese learning and encouraged everyone to keep their interest in Chinese.
