Tina is a senior and experienced teacher at Mandarin Inn. She graduated from Fudan University, majored in Administration. This year is the 11th year of her career in teaching Chinese.
滕老师是Mandarin Inn的一名资深且富有经验的汉语教师。毕业于复旦大学行政管理本科，今年将会是她在对外汉语教学的第十一个年头。
Interest And Persistence兴趣和坚持 When Tina was asked about any secrets in learning Mandarin, she simply answered interest and persistence. Learning language itself is relatively dry, so it is particularly vital to turn passive learning into active learning, and which is the most positive role that interest play in language study. 当被问及学中文的秘诀时，滕老师的回答非常简单：兴趣和坚持。学习语言本身是一件相对枯燥乏味的事情，所以将被动的汉语学习转为主动的学习就显得尤为重要了，而这正是兴趣在语言学习中的最积极作用。 This is not hard to understand, especially for Tina, as teaching Chinese was with interest in the first place, then it became a motive for her to enter this career. Tina chose to be a Mandarin teacher merely out of hobby; however, she began to enjoy teaching in the classroom and talking to her students because every little step they made in Chinese made her happy. 这不难理解，尤其对于滕老师来说，教中文最初就是源于她个人的兴趣，然后变成她步入对外汉语老师这份职业的动力。原本仅出于爱好而开始的汉语教学，后来让滕老师变得越来越享受在教室里向同学授课。学生在汉语学习上的每一点进步都让她欣喜不已。
While persistence is the only way to keep interest and learning through. This apply to Tina’s teaching principle as well. Let interest be your best teacher and persistence is the only secret to success, which becomes her motto.
而坚持则是将兴趣和汉语学习贯穿始终的唯一途径。这也符合滕老师的教学理念：兴趣是最好的老师，坚持是走向成功唯一的秘诀。

Good students in Tina’s eye are those who are self-motivated to learn and who always reflect in the course of language study. But for those who are not that proactive in learning such as skipping homework or often being late for class, Tina also has her way to deal with. She will have you to finish the practice before class. What is meant to be done has to be done! Regular homework and practice are to ensure the quality and efficiency of the class. What is more, through homework you can spot your deficiencies in learning. In this regard, Tina would not give in.
滕老师眼中的好学生主动性强，在学习中能够善于思考。但对于那些不怎么热衷于积极主动，有时不做作业或者上课迟到的学生，她也有自己的办法。滕老师会要求学生在上课前把作业或该做的练习都完成。今日事今日毕，规律的作业和练习能够保证课堂的质量和效率。另外在作业中也能发现学习中的不足之处。在这方面，滕老师可不会让步。
What can not be neglected is encouragement. Besides the content taught in the class, Tina gives positive feedback to students’ progress and let them know where they need to do more. Combine the practice with students’ daily life, work or hobby. She will recommend books and movies according to their learning context so that students can immerse themselves in Chinese environment more. 当然，积极鼓励更能增进学生学习汉语的兴趣。滕老师会对学生的进步给与正面肯定，不足之处多加练习。把练习的内容跟学生的实际生活、工作或兴趣相练习。课后根据学生的具体情况推荐相关的书籍或影视节目观赏，让学生能够更多地沉浸在中文环境中。
Teaching @Mandarin Inn教学在汉吟 What attracts Tina most at Mandarin Inn is school’s relaxing environment, sound management of the courses and thoughtful service. In such an enabling atmosphere by interacting with her students, Tina found the current curriculum basically meet the needs of students’ demands. As more and more foreign friends choose to learn Chinese, she is very optimistic about the development of this profession at Mandarin Inn. 滕老师喜欢学校的氛围和环境，以及学校良好的管理体系和周到的服务。在这样一个利于学习的氛围中和学生互动，滕老师认为目前的课程基本契合学生的学习需求。随着越来越多的外国友人选择学习汉语，她也非常看好在Mandarin Inn的职业发展。
On the other hand, she does not stop to further her study in language. Tina studied new languages to understand and experience the problems and challenges that students may encounter in learning Chinese. Thus, she can help students as much as she can with a better understanding, and learn from them in the meanwhile. 另一方面，滕老师也没有停止自己语言学习的脚步，她不断地学习新的语言来了解和体会学生在学习中遇到的问题和挑战，更好地理解学生并给予最大的帮助，而同时也从学生身上学到不少东西。
Learning in Special Time特殊期间的学习 Talking about the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on work and life, it does cause a lot inconvenience, but she believes it will soon pass and begin normal life again.
