Those who wish to travel to China mainland will now have five days of centralized quarantine instead of the previous 7 days. Additionally, after undergoing the five days of centralized quarantine, arrivals will need to stay at home for another 3 days, known as home quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who are currently living in China, there have also been several changes to pandemic prevention and control measures. The new measures require close contacts to also undergo a five-day quarantine in a facility and to be transferred to their home for another 3 days at home if they finish the isolation healthily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers from overseas will now only need to present 1 nucleic acid test result<\/strong> issued within 48 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 8-day isolation<\/strong>, arrivals will receive one nucleic acid test a day for the first 5 days, and another two tests during the 3-day home quarantine. This rule also applies to those who have close contact with confirmed cases. They will receive the same number of tests in the quarantine facilities within China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, China categorized COVID-19 risk areas into three: high, mid, and low.<\/strong> But now, the risk areas will be adjusted to just high and low<\/strong>. This new adjustment is aimed at reducing travel restrictions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-risk area should be a certain building and if there are no new cases reported from the area for five consecutive days, the control measures and high-risk label should be lifted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
